SPONSORSHIPS, DONATIONS AND BEQUESTS
(The ManKind Initiative does not receive public/state funding)
To support our work in supporting the hundreds of thousands of male victims of domestic abuse and domestic violence in the UK, the ManKind Initiative relies on sponsorship, individual and corporate donations, bequests and those who take part in events for charity like fun runs and marathons.
Donations have been received from individuals, companies (as part of their charitable giving/corporate social responsibility) and other organisations. This has also included people taking part in sponsored events and the charity has been chosen by some organisations as their charity of the year.
The charity also has received bequests from wills.
Any money raised and any donations or bequests that are received are used with due care and for specific purposes.
Recent donations have been used to:
- Upgrade the web-site
- Produce new leaflets, posters and banners
- Buy new equipment for the office
- Install a new help-line phone system
- Support the existence of the helpline
