The charity has to raise £45,000 every year to run its helpline.
It takes calls from men (often with children) in distress and support others such as families, friends and workmates who call because they want to help them escape.
All donated money (including from companies, trusts or bequests) is spent directly on the helpline – it provides the staffing, the telephone system and any promotion (leaflets). Not one penny is wasted on bureaucracy or unrelated admin. We receive no government or state funding for the helpline.
